On this night, November 22nd, 2015, at Homestead Miami Speedway in Miami, Florida, NASCAR racing legend and 4-time champion, Jeff Gordon, is hanging up his helmet.
After an illustrious career that spanned over the course of 23 years, his days behind the wheel have come to an end. He has chosen to retire, but not from the sport completely.
He will continue to work with his team, Hendrick Motorsports, just not in the driver's seat. This was a sad day for me, as Jeff is my favorite driver. He was the first thing I was ever interested in, when it comes to racing. He was the man who got me hooked on cars, and driving. Aside from Speed Racer, of course. The team will still consist of their three other drivers, Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Kasey Kahne.
Even if we won't see him driving in the regular season, at least he's still part of the team. He will leave behind a legacy in motorsport history, one that I think is legendary.
A job well done, Jeff. Congratulations, and happy retirement.

National Train Day 2020
Not just that, but it's Mother's Day!
Happy National Train Day everyone, and Mother's Day to all the great mothers out there!
Thank You
I just wanted to say, thank you for all the birthday wishes! It really does mean a lot to me, and even though this wasn't as cheerful as I'd like it to be, it still managed to be absolutely amazing!
I can't thank you all enough :D
Peter Fernandez's 93rd Birthday - Rest In Peace
Well, as some of you may know, Peter Fernandez is the man who voiced Speed Racer all the way back in 1967, and sadly passed away in 2010.
It's almost incredible how much of an impact he's left on anime, considering Speed Racer was one of the very first anime series to ever get an English dub. However, for me, Peter's role in the series is so iconic, that I almost seem to let the show stand out on it's own.
And since today is Peter's 93rd birthday, I think it's only fair that I pay my respects to the man that inspired so many people, including myself.
Happy Birthday, Peter Fernandez, and Rest In Peace.
Certified Brakeman
As of yesterday, I have become an official brakeman of the Wiscasset Waterville & Farmington Railway.
Took me just under a year, but I finally did it!
